Project Scope: Featuring: Four (4) Systems - MFT IP 550XED Friction Feeder with Impresso Redundant Labeling System. System Operation: The feeder will separate and feed your products from a stack in the infeed hopper. The products are transferred onto the fixed speed labeling conveyor spaced apart for labeling. The product then travels towards the Impresso label applicators. A product sensor detects the presence of each product and sends a signal to the label applicator, indicating that the product is present for labeling. Continuous Motion Accutipping Controls comes into action, not only accurately placing the label in the correct location but also automatically adjusting for any changes in the conveyor speed. As the product moves forward, the label is wiped top-down onto the product. Once labeled, the product is transferred to the end of the conveyor where it be collected into a batch counted stack up to a 4" stack. This system as quoted is an redundant system. Labeler #1 is the "main" labeling unit and Labeler #2 is the "secondary" labeling unit. Should the "main" labeling unit run out of labels, the "secondary" labeler will then take over labeling. System Notes: -The finished products will be collected by Pratt Industries as they exit the system. -The product is feed left to right when facing both the feeder and labeler controls -The conveyor height is 36" +2" at the exit of the conveyor Bag Test with Labels: -Only bag 297mm x 307mm insulated was tested with the label as submitted (280mm Long/repeat x 70mm Wide) at 60 Meter/minute @ 500mm pitch = 120 bags/minute -The label as submitted, after being dispensed, only has 35mm of the liner remaining when taking it up with the rewind. Because of this and the use of a paper liner, extra care in not having deep die-line cuts must be taken. -The bags' height when tested varied resulting in product skewing when feeding -The labels' adhesive is really light (not aggressive) thus requiring ample wiper roller pressure when applying the label. When inconsistent pressure, the label will side (not tacking to the product quickly) and vary in placement. Set Up and Approval Note: -MFT will set-up and test four(4) product with one (1) label combination each. Additional set-ups are available as an option. -MFT will provide the customer a video for machine acceptance/shipment approval Notes: -This proposal is budgetary based on not having complete products and/or label for testing or Engineering review -No URS, Specifications or FAT documents have been submitted with this proposal -Any URS, Specifications or FAT documents submitted during the quote or order phase will default to a requote -This proposal is the sole and governing document for this project -This proposal assumes that the customer will integrate, install and test the system at their facility -MFT is not responsible for pinch points created by the Integration of MFT supplied equipment and the Clients equipment (i.e.: feeders, labelers, conveyors, lugs, etc.). It is the sole responsibility of the client to address and add any additional guarding to meet local and federal OSHA requirements. -Standard MFT components are being integrated to make a system. This proposal does not include system guarding. Guarding should be discussed with your MFT Representative to assure the system as proposed meets your project's requirements. MFT can option guarding per your projects’ requirements. -Any information provided after the order is considered a change in Scope. A scope change quote will be provided to accommodate any/all additions and all changes will be billable to the customer. -MFT is not including a layout drawing with this proposal or order but it can be optioned. -This proposal does not include MFT customer on-site training and/or installation assistance Labeler Notes: -MFT assumes that the customer has pre-qualified both the product and label for compatibility -MFT is not responsible for bubbles, the label not "wetting out", or label lift due to incompatibility of the product and/or label -Typical placement accuracy is ±2mm to ±3mm and is exclusive of product and/or label variations -Label supply roll = 16" OD x 3" ID Core -Product flow is left to right thus two (2) Impresso RH Applicators are required
