Project Scope: Change Order Featuring: MFT 350 IP3 XED Friction Feeder w/ Accutipping Repeat Controls on HDSR 1000-350 Heavy Duty Stand on Rollers. This change order is to incorporate an MFT 350 IP3 XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder with your existing feeding, printing (thermal transfer), and verification system that is currently on order with MFT Automation, as per proposal #33559-R4 dated May 26th, 2022 and PO 4500337900 dated July 12, 2022. There are issues with product spacing fluctuating due to product-related problems as the pouches travel on the open top vacuum conveyor. To address this issue, MFT proposes adding a new MFT 350 IP3 Friction Feeder to feed the foil pouches onto the existing open top vacuum conveyor with precise repeat. The MFT 350 IP3 XED Friction Feeder will be mounted onto a HDSR 1000-350 Heavy Duty Stand on Rollers and will feed the foil pouches onto the existing open top vacuum discharge conveyor with consistent repeat using Accutipping repeat controls (consisting of an encoder mounted onto the vacuum discharge to monitor its speed). The feeder will vary its speed and timing to ensure that the pouches are fed onto the vacuum conveyor with precise repeat. The MFT 350 IP3 XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder will be equipped with Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies, each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber, to best grip the products as they are fed. A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the Rear Support Assembly of the feeder to reduce friction between the products as they are fed and to assist with product flow. No Tool Changeover parts, consisting of side guides that are cut to fit over the top of the feed belts along with quick lock handles on the side guides and product support rods, will be utilized to make changeover between sizes fast and easy. The feeder will be equipped with 50% gearing to create a larger gap between the products as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. Additional guarding will be added to the MFT 350 IP3 XED Friction Feeder. The existing vacuum discharge secures the product to the belt, and a Markem Imaje X65 thermal transfer over printer (TTO) with the SmartDate-Xpert-Ribbon option (with a thermal transfer support roller to provide bottom support during printing) printing on the pouches as they travel on the vacuum discharge of the feeder. An start sensor will detect the sheets as they travel on the feeder discharge, and the stop position of the sheets will be set to ensure that no sheet is under the printer when the feeder stops. To reduce static on the product, a Static Reduction Bar is used on the discharge. A Keyence Inline Bar Code grading and OCR verification system is used to verify the human-readable and bar codes (Grade of C or better) on the printed pouches after the printing process. If a "No Read", "Bad Read", or below C Grade occurs, the system rejects the product. The "good" verified products will be transferred into a Catch Tray Pan with Magnetic Side Guides to be stacked and accumulated. -The feeder system comes standard mounted on a Stand on Rollers and is equipped with a 0.97 kW Vacuum Blower Pump to supply the vacuum discharge. -System guarding is included. Notes: -MFT Automation's Engineering team will create revised layout drawing for customer approval. System Integration and testing will include testing the four product submitted to ensure they perform as one complete system. -Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the specified rate. -A Factory Acceptance Test will be conducted, with customer-supplied samples, to verify system performance prior to shipment for samples listed in the sample table of the proposal.
