Project Scope: Featuring: MFT 250 IP Series Feeder with XED Friction Feeder, equipped with a 372mm (14.64") long discharge; VTC 2000-550 Vacuum Transport Conveyor, and Norwix UV Print system with LED Dryer. The MFT 250 IP Series Feeder with XED Friction Feeder is designed to efficiently separate products from a supported, inclined stack and transport them individually onto the discharge of the feeder. To ensure utmost accuracy and quality, a Metal Foil Double Detect Sensor Assembly is employed to detect any instances of doubles as the pouches are fed. The products then proceed to the vacuum transport conveyor (VTC), where they pass under a Norwix UV Marking System that is mounted over the VTC, enabling the printing of a UDI Code on each product. Subsequently, the printed products undergo curing of the ink under an LED dryer. To further ensure quality, a Cognex Vision Inspection System verifies the Lot Code, Date Code, and bar code on the printed pouches as they travel on the VTC. In case of any "No Read" or "Bad Read" the system is equipped with a Reject on Error Gate with controls to automatically reject the faulty product. The "good" printed products are then transferred into a catch tray at the end of the VTC, where they are stacked and accumulated. To mitigate static during the product's travel on the VTC, two Anti-Static Bars are mounted above the VTC, one at the infeed and one at the outfeed ends, ensuring smooth and efficient processing. Feeder Notes: -A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the Rear Support Assembly of the feeder to minimize friction between products and facilitate smooth product flow during feeding. -Accutipping repeat with encoder is integrated to ensure consistent product placement on the conveyor, regardless of its speed, for precise and reliable performance. -The Catch Tray Pan will be equipped with Magnetic Side Guides for efficient product accumulation, ensuring organized and streamlined processing. Notes: -This proposal is "formal" having tested all products. -Printed samples from Norwix have been approved by the customer. -No URS, Specifications or FAT documents have been submitted with this proposal -Any URS, Specifications or FAT documents submitted during the quote or order phase will default to a requote -This proposal is the sole and governing document for this project -MFT will set-up and test one (1) product with one (1) print test. Additional set-ups are available as an option. -This proposal assumes that the customer will integrate, install and test the system at their facility -MFT is not responsible for pinch points created by the Integration of MFT supplied equipment and the Clients equipment (i.e.: feeders, labelers, conveyors, lugs, etc.). It is the sole responsibility of the client to address and add any additional guarding to meet local and federal OSHA requirements. -MFT will provide the customer a video for machine acceptance/shipment approval -Standard MFT components are being integrated to make a "system". This proposal does not include "system" guarding. Guarding should be discussed with your MFT Representative to assure the system as proposed meets your project's requirements. MFT can option guarding per your projects’ requirements. -This proposal does not include MFT customer on-site training and/or installation assistance Print and Application Notes: -A UV Print test has been completed by Norwix and the ink to be used will be PUP1140 Black (2 Drops). The quality of the printed samples is yet to be confirmed by the customer (12/6). -This proposal will include a layout approval drawing to be provided after Engineering design completion -All product will be fed narrow edge leading. -MFT Automation will purchase and mount the Norwixx Marking System onto the VTC. -MFT will test the unit by simply printing the word "text" onto the print area to prove functionality only. -MFT recommends that customer arranges for Norwix to be onsite at MFT to create a recipe and for training -MFT is not responsible for smudging, smearing and print quality due to incompatibility of products and ink -The customer is responsible for the creation of all print formats -The location of the print on the product must be provided prior to the order -The product must be flat and free of ripples or concave and convex surfaces which can result in poor print quality -Product print time can affect the throughput of the system -MFT assumes that a local Norwix technician is available when requested. If a local representative is not available, the project dates can/will be affected. Any expenses to get a "non-local" Norwix technician would be at the expense of the customer, if waiting is not an option. -This proposal does not include customer on-site training and/or installation assistance Vision Inspection Notes: -MFT to inspect the 2D barcode (9mm x 9mm) for readability -MFT will inspect the Lot and Date code (numerical values only) with a ARIAL NARROW BOLD SIZED AT 8 POINT which needs at minimum 2pt character spacing to be vision friendly. Lot = XXXXX; Date = YYYY-MM-DD -The total inspection area, including the "quite area", is 28mm long x 12mm tall per the samples submitted. -The "quite area" is define as 2mm of space from the inspection area to other text/symbols -The linear speed of the product is ~1,200 inches per minute (30.5M/minute) -This is a "fail safe" system and all products are considered "bad" until proven "good". Options Available: -An additional Norwix IM2 2.1" UV Print System can be purchased as a spare for enhanced printing capabilities. -An APL 2000-190 Automatic Product Loader (2000mm x 190mm) can be utilized to allow for an optimum stack height in the in-feed magazine of the feeder and increased in-feed magazine capacity. -A SC 2000-350 Shingling Conveyor (2000mm x 350mm) can be employed for accumulation, resulting in improved efficiency and further processing capabilities. -Low Product Sensor Assembly -Spare Parts Kit -MFT Training and Installation Assistance at customer's site
