Project Scope: The proposed system will begin with an operator loading the Tyvek/poly pouches into the infeed hopper of the MFT IP 550SLD Vacuum Track Friction Feeder. The feeder comes with a 30" in feed hopper but the actual loading capacity for tyvek/poly pouches will be less. The feeder will separate the products and transport them down the vacuum discharge where they will be presented to the MFT 150PA Print and Apply Labeler. The labeler will unwind the label and print the static data onto the label. As the pouch comes into position the tamp assembly, with Smart Tamp, will apply the label. The product will then be transferred into a driven discharge. A barcode reader, after the labeler, will scan the printed GS1 barcode to verify that it is present, the correct code and readable ('matched' barcode but barcode will not be graded). If the barcode is good it will be transferred onto the shingling conveyor where it will be collected into batches. If the barcode is bad, incorrect or not readable, it will be rejected into a bin. The reject will confirm the rejected product was correctly diverted and the system will makeup for the rejected product to ensure a full count. Note: -No URS/Specifications were summitted with this proposal. A URS/Specification submitted after this proposal will result in a requote. -This proposal is the sole and governing document. -The MFT system will be mounted onto a feeding and labeler combination stand -This is a stand alone system that is hand loaded and unloaded -Label placement accuracy will be verified once samples have been submitted for testing. Typical placement accuracy is ±2mm to ±3mm and is exclusive of product and/or label variations -MFT is not providing the Thermal Printer software with this proposal -MFT assumes that the customer has pre-qualified both the label material and thermal print ribbon for compatibility -MFT is not responsible for smudging, smearing and print quality due to incompatibility of labels and printer ribbon -The customer is responsible for the creation of all print formats. All formats must be provided for any testing and the machine acceptance -Label print time can affect the throughput of the system -MFT will set-up and test three (3) products with one (1) label combination each. Additional set-ups are available as an option. -Tooling (2 tamp pads total) is provide for the 4" tall x 2" long (repeat) and 4" tall x 6" long (repeat) label -Service installation and training services are not included with this proposal.
