Project Scope: The revised proposed system consists of an MFT Automation feeding and printing system (thermal transfer) to print UDI codes onto pouches at a rate of up to 60 per minute. This proposal includes the following changes requested by Z-Medica: 1. List a separate line item for System Drawing, Integration, and Factory Acceptance Test. 2. Include performing a safety checklist on the system during the FAT. 3. Include UL Testing. 4. Include software validation with report completed during FAT. The MFT 550 IP3 will gently separate your pouches from an inclined stack and will transport them one at a time onto the 350mm (13.77") wide 900mm (35.43") long vacuum discharge of the feeder. Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber will be used to best grip the products as they are fed. A HD 425 Heavy Duty Rear Support Assembly with Diamond Support Plate Assembly will be utilized to support the stack from the back as they are fed. A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the Rear Support Assembly of the feeder to reduce friction between the products as they are fed and to assist with product flow. No Tool Change over parts consisting of side guides that are cut to fit over the top of the feed belts along with quick lock handles on the side guides and product support rods will be utilized to make change over between sizes fast and easy. The feeder will be equipped with 50% gearing to create a larger gap between the products as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. The vacuum discharge of the feeder will secure the product to the belt and a thermal transfer support roller will be used to support the products from the bottom as they are printed with a UDI code by a Markem Imaje X65 thermal transfer printer with the SmartDate-Xpert-Ribbon option. An adjustable sensor will be used to detect the sheets as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. The stop position of the sheets will be set so there is not a sheet under the printer when the feeder stops. A Static Reduction Bar will be used to reduce static on the product as they travel on the discharge. A Keyence Inline Bar Code grading and OCR verification system will be used to verify the human readable as well as the bar codes (Grade of C or better) on the printed pouches as they travel on the vacuum discharge of the feeder. If a "No Read", "Bad Read", or below C Grade occurs, the system will reject the product below using a Reject on Error Gate with controls. The verified products will be transferred into a Catch Tray Pan with Magnetic Side Guides (included with feeder system) where they will be stacked and accumulated. The feeder system comes standard mounted onto a Stand on Rollers and is equipped with a 0.97 kW Vacuum Blower Pump to supply the vacuum discharge. System guarding is included. MFT Automation's Engineering team will create a system drawing for customer approval. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified. A Factory Acceptance Test with customer supplied samples will be done to verify system performance prior to shipment for samples listed in the sample table of the proposal. This proposal assumes that the customer will install the system at their facility. MFT Automation can provide installation services as an option at our standard rates. Note: Samples were not tested with the Metal Foil Double Detect Sensor so there are no guarantees they will work. Options available: Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.

Needs to go to ME for drawing and revised layout. 8/10: Just received signed quote and upgrade. Waiting on PO and signed proposal for change over first. 6/22: Got it to run. Got new product in. Micah creating video showing change order. Will prove concept and get to customer so we can get signed quote and change order 6/15: Sent back some bad samples. (non conforming) They are going to send a new lot of samples for testing. 6/8: In process of testing pouches. 5/25: No change 5/18: waiting for sales; Mark N. to follow up 5/11: In Integration. Still testing proposed solution. Mike sent samples to our rep. Need to request additional samples from customer. 5/4: Need to make a decision on controls and then get it mocked up. Need to schedule a meeting all together to get on the same page. 4/27: Have change order proposal to customer. Have testing request in the queue. 4/20: Call today at noon with customer. Talk about change order. 4/13: Got current state video early this week. 4/6: Working on it in Integration. Shooting machine readiness video after dialing in the foil packets 3/30: Karl working on camera reject and print timing for products. Customer coming in for FAT. 3/23: Keyence was in on Wednesday. Changed filter on the camera, reads a lot better. Karl working on timing in between inspection and eject. Expecting him to be done today. Customer coming for a visit. 3/16: Karl finishing vision stuff. Hoping to have video done early next week. Customer coming for in person FAT. Might have overlapping customers in same week. Is UL test done?? 3/2: Received additional samples. Waiting on sales for print file. Mark spoke with Louis and promised by the end of the day. 2/23: Had 3 techs out from Markem. Asked them for vials a few times. Mark N. will send another email today. 2/16: Still waiting on info from sales on font recipes. 2/9: Had UL testing on Tuesday. Electrical working on camera settings. Still waiting for response from customer. 2/2: Steve working on guarding. Karl will be downloading new formats soon and then will set up vision camera. 1/26: 3 of 4 products running well. EE working on it now. Kevin help to get printer up and running tomorrow. 1/19: In Integration. Made custom sensor, modified guarding. Need to get printer up and running.
