Project Scope: The proposed system consists of two MFT Automation 250 V3 ED Signature Series Friction Feeder systems to tip CR 80 Cards onto base products traveling on a Moll Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 300 per minute (with an estimated accuracy of +/- 1/8"). Each MFT 250 feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 200mm (7.87") long discharge of the feeder. The Moll machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 250 V3 ED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product onto the spot glued surface of the product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. Each MFT 250 V3 will feed the CR 80 Card into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine to assure a positive transfer from the feeder onto the base product traveling below. Each feeder will be configured with EZ Tipping controls consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your folder gluer to monitor its speed. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the CR 80 Card is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the folder gluer. This proposal assumes that Moll will mount, install, and integrate the feeders with the Moll folder gluer machine. MFT Automation can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: Each MFT 250 V3 Friction Feeder can be equipped with Multiple Product Detection and/or Batch Count Mode as an option. An optional Electronic Interface Box Assembly can be used to signal the Moll machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
