Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a MFT IP 750SLD Industrial Performance Friction Feeder which will separate and feed your flat cartons from a stack in the in-feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are transported through the discharge of the feeder a MFT 150PA Print and Apply label applicator will apply a label to the carton. Multifeeder will provide perimeter guarding around the discharge of the feeder. The guarding will prevent access to the underside of the discharge and be surrounded by 4 sides. One of the sides will be an interlocked access door for the operator to access the print and apply engine. The opening, for the product to exit, will be a mail slot. Due to the size of the products, in thickness and some shorter length products, the belts may still be accessed but the guarding would be set to be at the tangent or lower. Once the interlocked door is opened the feeder and print and apply labeler will be inhibited and the air will be dumped. The Print and Apply units will have a crank adjustment to allow the operator to crank the machine from left to right across the width of the feeder.

Customer still working on getting payment from Cat. 6/16: Quoting parts. Still don't have down payment. PLC not due until December. Have one but need two. 6/9: No change. Processing in procurement 6/2: No change 5/26: Waiting for down payment. 5/19: Received signed drawing. In project docs folder. Did not add in feed guarding. 5/5: Safety team trying to determine if they need guarding. 4/28: Customer reviewing layout. Needs more time. Done in ME. 4/21: In detailing. 4/14: In ME. 4/7: In ME. Starting tomorrow 3/31: Waiting for down payment. Go live next in engineering.
