Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 V3 XED Signature Series Friction Feeder system to feed pharmaceutical inserts onto an existing folder gluer machine at a rate o up to 100 per minute. The feeder will be configured with an APL 1000-190 Automatic Product Loader (perpendicular to flow) to allow for an optimum stack height in the in feed magazine of the feeder and for increased in feed magazine capacity. The MFT 250 V3 Signature Series Friction feeder will gently separate your inserts from and inclined stack and will transfer them onto the 375mm (14.76" extended discharge of the feeder. The feeder will be signaled to feed an insert onto a carrier traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. An APL 1000-190 Automatic Product Loader (1000mm x 190mm) will be positioned perpendicular with respect to flow with respect to the MFT 250 V3 XED Friction Feeder system. A Low Product Detect Sensor will be mounted in the in feed magazine of the feeder to signal the Automatic Product Loader to replenish the in feed magazine of the feeder automatically once the stack drops below a preset level. A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the rear support assembly of the feeder to reduce friction between the products as they are fed and to assist with product flow. Looking at the back of the feeder the loader will be positioned to the left of the feeder over the mechanical (non-control panel side) of the feeder. This proposal assumes that the customer will mount, install, and integrate the MFT 250 V3 XED Friction Feeder and APL 1000-190 Automatic Product Loader at your facility. Multifeeder can provide installation and integration services as an option at our standard rates.
