Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a MFT IP 250XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder which will separate and feed your products from a stack in the in feed hopper of the feeder. The feeder will be signaled to feed by Aspect's PLC controller. Once a start pulse is received the feeder will dispense a product. The APL 2000-290 Automatic Product Loader will provide increased loading capacity to the system through horizontal loading. The Loose Loop Impresso Labeler will be mounted downstream of the feeder on upright low toe stand. It will use the Continuous Accutipping Controller with encoder to accurately apply a label. The VTC will transport the products through the system where it will be held in position with vacuum. The products will be registered with side rails as it enters the VTC. A reject on error assembly will be provided but the controlling of the reject will be done by Aspect Automation. Data will be sent to the Thermal Printer by Aspect Automation. The labeler will print at 300 DPI.
Notes: Aspect Automation WO 2021067 8/26: Back Order the Pulley Motor Guard 8/26: Should ship today 8/19: Aspect team came back yesterday. Had on vacuum pump issue that has been fixed. Aspect should be coming back this afternoon for final review and approval. 8/12: Over yesterday to review progress. Working on minor items. A couple APL pieces due in next week. Target to ship next Friday. 8/5: Customer here now for FAT. 7/29: FAT is going to be on Thursday. Have prior to ship payment and holding on to it until FAT is approved. 7/8: Pulled as full as it can be. Missing a few parts. (driven discharge, guide rod, etc.) 7/1: Waiting to hear back from Aspect on recent print sample tests. Shingling conveyor is built. Production has gone as far as possible on labeler. Waiting on remaining parts to arrive. 6/24: Got new print samples created for them. Going to test and get back to us. 6/17: No update. Ryan got roller in pretty easily. 6/10: Issues with Zebra printers. Ryan ordered printer before he left. 6/3: Greg and Ryan working on Zebra printer related print test issues. Parts on order for the remainder of the order. 5/20: All parts on order. 5/13: In procurement. Parts being quoted. 5/6: Released out of engineering. In Clay's hands 4/29: Have sign off on drawing. Should be done by the end of the day today. 4/22: Another meeting with customer this morning (engineering review). Went really well. We owe them a drawing for vacuum pump. 4/15: Had a meeting and customer requested a couple changes. Finished and starting to detail. 4/8: ME sent layout to Jim. Call this afternoon. 4/1: Follow up call this afternoon. Doing layout in ME. 3/25: Kicked off Tuesday afternoon. Kick off with customer this afternoon. 3/18: New order. Down payment check mailed yesterday
Work Done: 12/29/21 Changed out all APL belts (3 on 2000 and 1 on 1000) Lowered 2000 APL in order to help with product not falling out of transfer shoot back under APL also put uhmw tabs on back side of shoot as insurance Replaced rear support curve to a standard indexing support curve Ryan did upgrade to labeler to help prevent web brakes After all was done, line ran good yet continued to get "watch dog no product" fault from feeder, after looking closer it was noticed that the product was slightly damaged (see photos) causing the fault, pulled damaged product off of 1000 APL before it could get to feeder and line ran with no faults. Recommended to switch to feeder vacuum belt Aspect is wanting to change 1000 APL short guide rail to a taller one, informed Aspect that MFT will pay for upgrades but will quote for them. 8hrs onsite Bernie and Ryan
