Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 Friction Feeder HCP System with open frame discharge to tip plastic lids and other products up to 200mm (7.87") wide onto carriers traveling on a Bobst 110 Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 420 per minute. This proposal is contingent upon a successful testing of customer-supplied samples and a confirmation of project details. This MFT 250 feeder will encompass the High Performance Module to achieve high throughputs. The sequence starts whereas the system gently separates your lids from a receiving stream via the in-feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the a 75mm wide 900mm long open frame discharge (can feed products wider than the width of the discharge) to best fit between the carrier belts on the Bobst Alpina 110 Folder Gluer. The feeder will be equipped with a Vacuum Track Assembly each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed (house vacuum supply). The Folder Gluer machine will feed tray base products, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base sheet, and the MFT 250 IP3 SLD Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed the lids into the pinch point of a customer supplied top belt assembly on the Folder Gluer machine by a Photo Optic Start Sensor. The MFT 250 will be configured with Hard Carcass Discharge Belts, Precise Seiko Counter Height Adjustment knobs, Adjustable Discharge Side Guides with extension, and a Hard Carcass Nose Roller Assembly to allow the end of the discharge to be placed close to the product traveling below. This Integrated Product Loading and Feed Tipping System is going to be installed via a Heavy Duty Cantilever Dual-Stand on Rollers Assembly with needed modifications, onto the Bobst line. Some customization may be needed via recommended on-site installation, set-up and training. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping controls consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. This Accutipping feature enables accuracy levels from +- 1/16th to +- 1/32" variances. The computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the lid is placed accurately on the spot glued surface regardless of the speed of the base machine. An Electronic Interface Box will be used to signal the folder gluer machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. It is recommended that an Automatic Product Loading System (APL 1000- @ 39.4") with Right-hand load entry, be incorporated into this configuration. This will assist with ease and continuous loading of product, for more fluid production. Multifeeder provides on-site installation, integration and training services. This estimate is calculated upon further discussion and provided as a separate quotation. Options Available: Automatic Product Pre-load 2000MM (78.7") long Assembly, Customized mounting apparatus that utilizes the existing framing of the Tamarack mounting assembly , Associated Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, Product Index Support Curve with Reference Markings, and Static Bar with Mount Assembly to help alleviate static effect.

Haven't heard anything back since then. 6/10: Samples should go out this week. Mike continuing to follow up 6/3: Still no word on samples. Mike is going to check in with customer on this. 5/20: No change 5/13: Still waiting for samples. 5/6: Checking to see if we received the samples. Can't move forward without. 4/29: Supposed to be sending in a large quantity of samples. 4/22: Samples available and ready to send. Once they arrive we can test and move forward on engineering 4/15: No change. On hold. 4/8: Waiting on samples to test and validate. 4/1: On hold. Waiting for samples. 3/25: No word on samples. Originally said March 18 was soonest we could get samples. 3/18: Still waiting on samples 3/11: Waiting on samples still 3/4: Project on hold. Have approved layout drawing. Need samples so we can test. Customer working on providing samples. (mid-March) 2/25: Need samples and need to validate before ordering. Expecting samples by mid-March 2/18: Tried to kick off but had a bunch of questions. Rescheduled for today. 2/11: New order. Waiting on down payment.
