Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 550 IP3 ED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder system to tip CR 80 Cards and other products up to 500mm (19.67") wide onto base products traveling on a Moll Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 150 per minute. The MFT 550 feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will be transport them individually onto the 200mm (7.87") long discharge of the feeder. The feeder will be equipped with 50% gearing to allow the discharge belts to travel 50% faster the feed belts to provide additional spacing between the products on the discharge as they are fed. The Moll machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 550 IP3 ED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product onto the spot glued surface of the product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The MFT 550 IP will feed the tip on product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine to assure a positive transfer from the feeder onto the base product traveling below. An optional Electronic Interface Box Assembly can be used to signal the Moll machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that Moll will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the Moll folder gluer machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: An optional Vacuum Track Assemblies consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber can be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed (house vacuum supply). Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
