Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 IP3 HCP Friction Feeder system with open frame discharge to tip folded Pharmaceutical Inserts and other products up to 200mm (7.87") wide onto carriers traveling on a Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 500 per minute. The MFT 250 IP3 HCP feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the a 75mm (2.95") wide 900mm (35.43") long open frame discharge (can feed products wider than the width of the discharge) to best fit between the carrier belts on the folder gluer. The feeder will be equipped with a Vacuum Track Assembly each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. The folder gluer machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base sheet, and the MFT 250 IP3 SLD Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product into the pinch point of a customer supplied top belt assembly on the folder gluer machine by a Photo Optic Start Sensor. The MFT 250 will be configured with Hard Carcass Discharge Belts, Precise Seiko Counter Height Adjustment knobs, Adjustable Discharge Side Guides with extension, and a Hard Carcass Nose Roller Assembly to allow the end of the discharge to be placed close to the product traveling below. An APL 2000-190 Automatic Product Loader (2000mm x 190mm) will configured at 90 degrees with respect to flow (over electrical side of the feeder) for increased in feed magazine capacity. The Automatic Product Loader will be mounted onto Height Adjustable Legs with to allow the loader to be tilted to match the angle of the feed belts and to be positioned perpendicular to flow with respect to the feeder. Looking at the back of the feeder the loader will be positioned to the left. The Automatic Product Loader will be mounted onto Height Adjustable Legs with to allow the loader to be tilted to match the angle of the feed belts and to positioned perpendicular to flow with respect to the feeder. The feeder and loader will be mounted onto a Heavy Duty Cantilever Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility. An Electronic Interface Box can be used to signal the folder gluer machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. An optional Remote Keypad Assembly can be used to control the feeder system remotely. An additional cartridge change part (left and right side guide with product support rod assembly) will be include to feed a 25mm wide product. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping controls consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. The computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately on the spot glued surface regardless of the speed of the base machine. Project Specs: 1. The repeat between cartons is 1.5” (38mm) a. This will create an overall product repeat distance of 338mm for the base product. 2. The placement is shown by the printed enclosure on the base sample. The inner most solid line is defining the preferred placement. The second outermost solid line is the allowable float tolerance for placement (approx 1/8” on either side of the product in both the run direction and cross machine direction). Each dotted line is detailing 1/32” outward from the inner most solid line. (See Photo in Project Docs folder for Reference) 3. The Bobst Master fold and Expert Fold are capable of max line speeds of 650 Meters per Minute and 450 Meters per Minute respectively. a. The Multifeeder must be able to run a minimum 30,000 Pieces Per Hour (500 Pieces per Minute). b. A minimum linear speed of 170 MPM will be required to achieve the 30,000 PPH requirement

Lorenzo went to Keystone yesterday. 10/10: Conference call yesterday with Lorenzo. Taking measurements. Received signed lease. Kicking off to engineering today. 10/3: Mark N. said he talked to customer and they said they would sign the lease. Asked Mark to resend it to him again. 9/26: Emailed last week to have client sign off on modifications to lease. No response. Sent follow up email again yesterday. Let them know we can't move forward with the project until it is signed. 9/19: Rescheduled kick off to engineering until after tradeshow. 9/12: Kick off scheduled for next Tuesday. 9/5: Sent back lease with new markups. Wait a few days to confirm they don't disagree with changes. 8/29: New lease order. Need workorder from sales in order to process and schedule kick off meeting.
