Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 IP3 HCP XED Friction Feeder to tip CR 80 Cards onto base products traveling on MBO Machine at a rate of up to 300 per minute. Base products will travel on your existing transport, a glue machine will apply glue to the product. A Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 IP3 XED HCP Friction Feeder will be straddle mounted over your existing transport on a Straddle Mount Assembly supplied by Multifeeder. The feeder will gently separate your CR 80 Cards from an inclined stack and will transfer them one at a time onto the 375mm (14.76") extended discharge of the feeder. The feeder will be signaled to feed a CR 80 Card onto the spot glue surface of the base product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The feeder will feed the card into the pinch point of a Multifeeder supplied Pressure Roller Assembly to assure a positive transfer from the feeder onto the base product traveling. The MFT 250 IP3 HCP Feeder will be configured with Hard Carcass Discharge Belts, Precise Seiko Counter Height Adjustment knobs, Adjustable Discharge Side Guides, and a Hard Carcass Nose Roller Assembly. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping controls consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeders to ensure that the top sheet is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the existing MBO Machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Option Available: An optional Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber can be used to allow the feeder to best grip the product as they are fed. An optional Relay Interface Box can be used to signal the transport to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
