Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology Industrial Performance feeding and printing system to present printed top sheets into the flighted in feed of your Hugo Beck machine parallel to flow at a rate of up to 60 per minute. This proposal includes an optional folding device as well as terms of 40% down, 40% two weeks prior to shipment, with 20% net 30 days. The Multifeeder MFT 350 IP3 Friction Feeder will gently separate your cards from an inclined stack and will transfer them one at a time onto the 375mm (14.76") long vacuum discharge of the feeder. A Pneumatic Shaker will be used to assist with product flow. A Multifeeder supplied and integrated Bell-Mark Thermal Transfer Printer will be mounted over the vacuum discharge of the feeder to print on the cards as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. A Silicon Roller will be mounted under the Bell-Mark printer to best support the cards as they are printed. The location of the printer will be set so that a card is printed completely during each feed cycle. The printed and folded cards will be transferred into the into the flighted in feed of the Hugo Beck Machine parallel to flow at a rate of up to 60 per minute. The feeder will be signaled to feed by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. A Standard Interface Cable Assembly will be used to signal the host machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. The feeding, printing system will be straddle mounted over the in feed of the Hugo Beck using Multifeeder supplied hardware. Additional mounting hardware will be included to mount the Bell-Mark over the discharge of the feeder. Some of the cards are pre-printed and do not require printing including all of the (4" x 13) samples. To accommodate this, the system will have a switch to turn on and off the print system. Multifeeder's Engineering team will create a system drawing for customer approval. System Integration and testing includes testing of all individual pieces to perform as one complete system. Integration also includes testing of the feeding performance of each product size at the rate specified. A Factory Acceptance Test with customer supplied samples will be done to verify system performance prior to shipment. The customer is responsible for the mounting, installation, and integration of the feeding and printing system with the Hugo Beck Machine at your facility. Multifeeder can provide installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. The stop position of the feeder will be set to allow the edge of the completed card to stick out the end of the feeder where an optional folding knife assembly can fold the front edge of the card down. The air cylinder to fold the card will be activated by an Input Output card in the feeder. This folding device with have a guard box to guard the folding device.
Notes: Lindenmeyr Munroe W.O. 2019109 3/26: Packing now and goal to ship today 3/19: Received video approval yesterday. Waiting to make sure the print testing yesterday was successful before packing. 3/12: Working on filming video for 6th of 6 lines. Goal to have FAT video edited and sent to customer by end of day today. Working through minor issues with Bell Mark printers. Prior to ship payment was cut yesterday. 3/5: All 6 printers are mounted and running on the machines. Matt doing final clean up and prep for FAT videos. Making modifications for the folding device. Part 1 of 2 done in the shop. Part 2 of 2 should arrive tomorrow. Will use concept to film each video until they are done in the shop. Hope to have FAT videos done by next Wednesday at the latest. With approval, can QA and then ship the following week. 2/27: Printers showed up today. Everything on line 1 install is going well for MFT portion. Bell Mark tech struggling. Working through one issue with remaining 6. Next week will start mounting printers. 2/20: Integration working through 3-7 (without Bell Mark printers). Almost done with 2-4. All 7 should be done by the end of the week. 2/13: Matt and Steve starting on #2 and #3 yesterday. 2/6: Line #2 in Integration. Lines #3-7 in production. 1/30: Production continuing to work on remaining 6 units. Paused for Diamond Graphics APLs. 1/23: Received PO for install and static bars. Bell Mark printers due to ship on 2/28 (all 6). Should have early March. 1/16: Been approved to get set up in their system for payment and to issue new POs including installation and upgrades. In process on machines 2-6. All stands almost built. Will be paused for Hallmark 1/9: Waiting on payment. Crated and ready once we receive it. Other 6 in process in production. 1/2: FAT today. 12/26: Fat is moved Jan 2nd and 3rd. Should be ready to go without issue. Bell-Mark printer is up and running. 12/19: Pushing for FAT next Monday 12/23. Greg and Matt working through some printer issues. 12/12: Line 1 mounted over the test fixture. Greg starting to work on it. Digging in next week. Bell Mark didn't send encoder or start sensor. Possibly have a technician available to come out early next week. Possibly FAT 12/19 or 12/20. 12/5: Line 1 should be in Integration tomorrow. Will be starting to set up test fixture tomorrow. EE can't work on this until Arcade is done. FAT estimate 12/19 or 12/20. 11/21: Still waiting on a few parts to finish build of first machine. Electrical working on their side of FAT testing. Will start on test fixture after finishing Royal. 11/14: In process in production. 11/7: Feeder driven discharge is pulled for 1st machine. Waiting on parts for overall top level assembly to be pulled. Can built remaining 6 while we wait. Likely install 1st machine late December. 10/31: Bell Mark printer arrived last week. Waiting for parts. 10/24: Waiting for parts. 10/10: Almost everything on order. 10/3: 95% on order. Rollers are only potential issue at this point. 9/26: Processed and quoting parts. 9/19: EE working through testing in terms of queuing process. Still waiting on info from the client in terms of queuing. 9/12: Still trying to figure out queuing issue internally. Another follow up discussion scheduled this afternoon. 9/5: Close to wrapping up in Engineering. Ready for release to procurement middle of next week. Follow up call with Lindenmeyr and Bell Mark tomorrow. 8/29: Had call with them yesterday to go over measurements they sent us. They sent a few more measurements to us yesterday. Have a call scheduled for tomorrow with Bell Mark and Scientific Gaming to discuss need for print files to be queued. 8/22: Need to schedule two meetings. One with Scientific Gaming to discuss footprint / photos etc. and one with Bell Mark and Scientific Gaming. 8/15: Call scheduled for customer for tomorrow. New info from customer on bases. Need more information from them. 8/8: Had another engineering review this morning. Design is looking very good. Should be releasing to Procurement late next week. 8/1: In ME. Lots of questions. 7/25: ME started working on it yesterday. Need to re-set up print demo. 7/18: Next in ME. Need to look at re-setting up print demo. 7/11: Received all answers we needed from initial design review. In ME queue behind Pack Expo machine. 6/27: Had a call with Bryan at Scientific Gaming yesterday. Should have answers to all of our requests no later than 7/3. Will reschedule another engineering review after hearing back. 6/20: Engineering review meeting tomorrow. 6/13: Had kick off to engineering. 350mm product doesn't get printed or folded. Need to meet again. Need to verify if Bell Mark can print. 6/6: Down payment check mailed yesterday. Kick off to engineering scheduled for tomorrow.
