Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 Friction Feeder system with open frame discharge to tip sachets onto carriers traveling on a folder gluer machine at a rate of up to 300 per minute. The feeder will be mounted onto customer supplied mounting hardware. The Automatic Product Loader will be mounted onto a set of Multifeeder supplied adjustable legs with tilt adjustment perpendicular to flow to allow the angle of the APL to be set to match the angle of the feed belts on the feeder. Also included in this proposal are two XED Discharge Assemblies with Emitter Receiver Pairs and three sets of discharge belts (top and bottom) for use with your existing 2016 MFT 350 IP Friction Feeders. The MFT 250 feeder will gently separate your sachets from a vertical stack and will transport them individually onto the a 75mm wide 900mm long open frame discharge. The discharge can accommodate products that are wider than the width of the discharge to best fit between the carrier belts on the folder gluer. The feeder will be equipped with a Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed (house vacuum supply). The folder gluer machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base sheet, and the MFT 250 IP3 SLD Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product into the pinch point of a customer supplied top belt assembly on the folder gluer machine by a Photo Optic Start Sensor. The MFT 250 will be configured with Hard Carcass Discharge Belts, to allow the end of the discharge to be placed close to the product traveling below. An APL 2000-190 Automatic Product Loader (2000mm x 190mm) will configured at 90 degrees with respect to flow (over electrical side of the feeder) for increased in feed magazine capacity. The Automatic Product Loader will be mounted onto a set of Multifeeder supplied adjustable legs with tilt adjustment perpendicular to flow to allow the angle of the APL to be set to match the angle of the feed belts on the feeder. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping controls consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. The computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately on the spot glued surface regardless of the speed of the base machine. A Remote Keypad Assembly will be used to control the feeder system remotely. This proposal assumes that the customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeder and loader with the folder gluer. As an option, Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services at our standard rates. Options Available: The feeder can be equipped with a High Performance Package for speed greater than 300 per minute and for improved placement accuracy. The feeder system can signal the folder gluer to stop if it runs empty or has a fault via an optional Relay Interface Box Assembly. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
