Project Scope: The proposed system consists of two Multifeeder Technology MFT Industrial Performance IP3 XED Friction Feeder systems to tip cards onto base products traveling on your existing vacuum transport at a rate of up to 400 per minute. The first feeder will be a MFT 250 IP3 Friction Feeder that will gently separate your products up to 200mm (7.87") wide from a inclined stack of and will transported them individually onto the 375mm long (14.76") discharge of the feeder. The second feeder will be a MFT 350 IP3 Friction Feeder that will gently separate your products up to 300mm (11.81") wide from a inclined stack of and will transported them individually onto the 375mm long (14.76") discharge of the feeder. Both feeders will be straddle mounted over an existing transport conveyor by the customer. The MFT 350 IP3 Friction Feeder will be equipped with a Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. Base cards will travel on your existing transport and an existing glue machine will apply glue to the card, and each MFT IP3 XED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product into the pinch point of a customer-supplied Pressure Roller Assembly onto the spot glued surface by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The MFT 350 IP3 feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. The MFT 250 IP3 Feeder will not be equipped with Accutipping. This proposal assumes that the customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeders with the vacuum transport. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: Each feeder can be mounted onto the transport using a Multifeeder supplied Straddle Mount Assembly as an option. A Multifeeder supplied Pressure Roller Assembly can be used to provide a pinch point to feed into. Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with hole3s that travels over the chamber can be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. An optional Electronic Interface Box can be used to signal the transport to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. Optional Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder Installation.
