Project Scope: The proposed system consists of two Multifeeder Technology Impresso Labeling machine to apply hang tab labels onto cards traveling on Moll Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 150 per minute with an estimated accuracy of +/- 1/16". Each Multifeeder Impresso Labeling Machine will be straddle mounted over the Moll Machine. A Roll of labels (up to 18" in diameter) is loaded on the unwind, which gently unwinds the roll of labels with to stage them to be applied. The labeler is equipped with a brushless servo motor and with computer control to supervise the labels as they travel through the labeling machine onto the peel plate to be staged. The labeler will be signaled to apply the label onto the products traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The labeler will be configured with an additional insert to accommodate a 6" label roll core along with a larger diameter roller to accommodate the hang tab labels. The labeler will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposals assume that Moll will mount and integrate the labeler with the Moll Folder Gluer machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, integration, installation service as an option at our standard rates. Option Available: Each labeler can be mounted onto a T-Base Stand on Roller for height adjustment and mobility. An optional Electronic Interface Box can be used to signal the Moll machine to stop if the labeler runs empty or has a fault. Options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Labeler installation.
