Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 IP HCP XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder system to tip Easels onto carriers traveling on a Moll Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 120 per minute with a tolerance of +/- .8mm. The MFT 350 feeder will gently separate your easels from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transfer them one at a time onto the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. A single Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber will be used to best grip the products as they are fed (house vacuum supply). Left and Right Side Guides will be used to register the products side to side as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. The MFT 350 will be configured with Hard Carcass Discharge Belts, Precise Seiko Counter Height Adjustment knobs, Adjustable Discharge Side Guides, and a Hard Carcass Nose Roller Assembly to allow the discharge to be placed close to the product traveling below. The Moll machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 350 IP3 HCP Friction Feeder will feed the product into the pinch point of a motor driven pressure roller assembly to assure proper placement of the insert onto the base carrier. The feeder will be signaled to feed a product by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly and an Electronic Interface Box Assembly will be used to signal the Moll machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that Moll will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the Moll folder gluer machine using a Multifeeder supplied Cantilever Stand on Rollers. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates.
Notes: 5/4: Currently on track for shipping 5/5. Integration was not able to verify whether right or left side was the straight edge of the product while feeding. Fed it with straight edge to the right while facing discharge.
