Project Scope: The proposed system consists of two Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 Industrial Performance Friction Feeder systems with flexible discharge to feed folded pharmaceutical inserts the vertically into a pocket on your existing flighted conveyor at a rate of up to 45 per minute. Each MFT 250 Friction Feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. The in feed magazine will have a capacity of a stack of 26" of product. The magazine will be positioned at 115 degrees and will have a longer plate opposite the side of the operator. The longer plate will have a delron strip attached to help hold the back of the stack as they travel down the in feed magazine. The operator side will have a shorter side plate to allow the product to be loaded with simplicity and ease. Each feeder will be equipped with a Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 200mm (7.87") long flexible discharge of the feeder. The flexible discharge is equipped with segments that are angle adjustable with respect to one another to allow the angle of the discharge to be set vertically to best transfer the inserts from the feeder into the pocket. Using a Standard Interface Cable Assembly (fully populated), the host machine will signal the feeder to feed and will receive back a cycle complete signal. A customer supplied and integrated bar code reader will scan the leaflets one position before the end rollers (near emitter receiver pair) as they travel on the discharge of the feeder. If a No Read or Bad Read occurs the bar coder reader will signal the host system to stop. A 3D shell drawing of a single feeder will be provided for use by Micro Instrument to place in their 3D system drawing. Micro Instrument will assume responsibility for mounting, integrating, and installing the feeders with the host machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, integration, and installation services as an option at our standard rates. Other options: Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
