Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 IP ED Industrial Performance Series Friction Feeder system to tip CR 80 Cards and other products up to 200mm (7.87") wide onto base products traveling on a Moll Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 300 per minute. The MFT 250 feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 200mm (7.87") long discharge of the feeder. The feeder will be equipped with 50% gearing to allow the discharge belt to travel 50% faster the feed belts to provide additional spacing between the products on the discharge as they are fed. The Moll machine will feed a base product, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base product, and the MFT 250 IP ED Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product onto the spot glued surface of the product traveling below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The MFT 250 IP will feed the tip on product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine to assure a positive transfer from the feeder onto the base product traveling below. An Electronic Interface Box Assembly will be used to signal the Moll machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the tip on insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that Moll will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the Moll folder gluer machine. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates. Options Available: Optional Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber can be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly, and Standard Feeder installation.
