Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 Industrial Performance “IP” Series XED Friction Feeder system to tip various products up to 200mm (7.87”) wide onto base products traveling on your existing folder gluer machine at a rate of up to 500 per minute with a tolerance of +/- 1/16". MFT 250 feeder will gently separate your products from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder. As the products are fed, they will be transported individually through the 600mm (23.64") long discharge of the feeder. The folder gluer machine will feed a base sheet, a glue machine will apply glue to the sheet, and the MFT 250 IP XLD Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the folder gluer by a Tipping Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. Dual Vacuum Track Assemblies each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber will be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. Left and Right Discharge Side Guides will be used to be certain that the products are straight as they travel on the feeder discharge. Each feeder will be configured with hard carcass discharge belts for optimum performance. Feeder will be mounted onto an adjustable mounting frame to allow the position of the feeder to be adjusted in the x, y, and z directions. Each feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping controls consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. The computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately on the spot glued surface regardless of the speed of the base machine. This feature also allows the operator to place two inserts one after another on a base card. Start up assistance at a discounted rate is included in this proposal. Options Available: An optional APL 2000-190 Automatic Product Loader (2000mm x 190mm) can be configured at 90 degrees with respect to the feeder for increased in feed magazine capacity. An optional Electronic Interface Box can be used to signal the folder gluer machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit and a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly. Commission Calculation: 15% commission is divided as follows(30% where order placed, 20% where order ships, and 50% influence of sale) Capper McCall is eligible for 50% of the 15% commission.
