Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 Industrial Performance “IP” XED Friction Feeder with 350mm wide 375mm (14.76") long discharge to feed up to 300mm (11.81”) wide onto a Kama ProFold Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 250 per minute with a tolerance of +/-1/16” with a confidence of 90%. The Kama Machine will feed a base sheet, a glue machine shall apply glue to the base sheet, and the MFT 350 Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed a product into the pinch point of a Kama wheel assembly onto the spot glued surface by a Tipping Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. Left and Right Discharge Side guides will be used to be certain that the products are straight as they are fed. Hardcarcass discharge belts will be used for optimum tipping performance. Dual Vacuum Tracks each consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber will be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed. A Heavy Duty Rear Support Assembly will be used to support the stack from the rear as they are fed. The feeder will be equipped with Continuous Motion Accutipping controls consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. As the speed of the base machine changes the Accutipping control package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This feature also allows the operator to place two or more inserts one after another on a base card. The feeder mounting will be provided by the customer or can be provided by Multifeeder as an option. Options available: An optional Electronic Interface Box will be used to allow the feeder to signal the gluer or the folder gluer to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. An optional Conveyor Straddle Mount can be used to mount the feeder over the Kama Machine. Other options include a Spare Parts Kit, a Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly and Standard Feeder installation.
