Project Scope: The proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 Value Series XED Friction Feeder system with 375mm (14.76") extended discharge to feed paper inserts up to 300mm (11.81") wide onto the spot glued surface inside of a tray as it travels on a customer supplied conveyor at a rate of up to 200 per minute with an accuracy of +/- 1/8". The feeder will gently separate the sheets onto the feeder discharge. The feeder will be signaled to feed a sheet onto the spot glued surface inside a tray traveling on a conveyor below by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. The feeder will be equipped with EZ Tipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. The feeder will be configured 30 mm rough belts and 225 - 90 side plates that are 270mm wide and 797mm tall.
