Project Scope: Six Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 "V" Value Series friction feeder systems to collate packs of cards up to 200mm (7.87") wide onto a customer supplied and integrated flighted conveyor at a rate of up to 30 or 40 batches per minute. The six MFT 250 V ED Friction feeders with 200mm (7.87") long extended discharges will need to be straddle mounted over a customer supplied and integrated flighted conveyor. Each feeder will gently separate the cards onto the feeder discharge. The cards will be fed one at a time onto a product shelf-catch tray where the products will be stacked and accumulated. The pusher lugs of the collator will gently align and comb the stack products off of the shelves and marry them onto the stack of product traveling below. The operator will select which feeders to use in accumulating the desired stack and set the count on each unit. Each feeder will be equipped with double detection. A Photo Optic Start Sensor will be connected to a Unisource supplied and integrated PLC. Each feeder will be signaled to feed and can prodivde feeder status to the PLC using a Standard Interface Cable Assemblies. The PLC will signal each feeder to feed individually and it can be programmed to perform a No Pack No Feed option if needed. This proposal assumes that the customer will be responsible for all system integration and testing. Optionally Multifeeder will supply integration and installation services at Multifeeder standard rates. Hybrid MFT 250 Straddle Mount Assembly that can be bolted to the frame of the 26” wide Conflex conveyor for mounting an MFT 250 Value Series Friction Feeder. This Straddle Mount Assembly consists of two right angle side plates that mount to the sides of the 26” wide Conflex with two bars of extruded aluminum mounted to the top of both of the right angle pieces. An MFT 250 Mounting plate will be bolted to the top of the extruded aluminum pieces to mount an MFT 250 Value Series feeder onto.
