Project Scope: a Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 Industrial Performance “IP” Series ED Friction Feeder system with 200mm (7.87") extended discharge configured with an Automatic Product Loader to feed various products up to 300mm (11.81”) wide onto a Moll Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 150 per minute. The Moll machine will feed a base sheet, and the MFT 350 IP ED Friction Feeder will be signaled by a Photo Optic Start Sensor to feed a product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This feature also allows the operator to place two inserts one after another on a base card. An APL 2000-350 (2000mm x 350mm) Automatic Product Loader will be used for increased in feed magazine capacity. The Automatic Product Loader will be mounted onto an optional Cantilever Stand on Rollers and positioned at 90 degrees in respect to the feeder over the electrical side of the feeder (Control panel side). Since the Automatic Product Loader will cover the feeder control panel, A Remote Keypad Assembly will be used for the feeder user interface. A Photo Optic Sensor will be used to monitor the stack height in the in feed magazine of the feeder and once the stack drops below a preset level the APL 2000-350 Automatic Product Loader will be signaled to replenish the stack.
