Project Scope: An MFT 250 150 XED Industrial Performance Friction Feeder system configured with a 375mm (14.76”) extended discharge to tip leaflets onto cans at a rate of 450 per minute with a tolerance of + /- 1/8". The discharge of the feeder will be 150 mm (6”) in width, which will allow the guarding to be cut to accommodate the feeder. The MFT 250 150 Friction Feeder will be straddle mounted over the customer's production line using a Straddle Mount Assembly that is designed to allow the feeder to slide to the side if needed. The feeder will separate leaflets onto the feeder discharge. Left and Right Discharge side guides will be used to be certain that the products are straight as they are fed. The MFT 250 Friction Feeder will be signaled by a Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly to feed a leaflet into the pinch point of a Pressure Roller Assembly onto the top of a metal can passing underneath the feeder. The feeder will be configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes the computer timing compensation package varies the timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine.
