Project Scope: Sequence of Operation: The proposed system consists of an MFT 250 ip ED Friction Feeder to tip CR80 and phone cards onto base carriers. The feeder will be straddle mounted over an existing conveyor. The feeder will be equipped with accutipping software. An encoder will provide feedback so the feeder can match the line speed. A motor upgrade will provide high performance response and placement accuracy. Discharge side guides will ensure proper card orientation. A signal light will provide a visual feeder status for the operator. The feed cycle will be triggered by a start sensor detecting the base carrier approaching the feeder. The pinch point will be supplied by a powered pressure roller, which will be rotating at the same speed as the base piece. The rotating wheels will ensure that tip on has the proper placement and orientation.
