Project Scope: Sequence of Operation: The revised proposed system consists of a MFT 250 XED Industrial Performance “IP” Series Friction feeder system to apply magnets or coupons up to 8” wide onto phone books as they travel down your existing conveyor at a rate of up to 300 per minute with an accuracy of less than +/- 1/16”. The phone books will travel on an existing, slightly elevated conveyor that may require you to provide some sort of operator platform for safe and easier product replenishment to the feeder. An optional glue system will apply glue to the phone book and the MFT 250 IP XED Friction Feeder system will feed the product onto the spot glued surface into the pinch point of a Pressure Roller Assembly to assure proper placement of the insert. The feeder will be equipped with Left and Right Discharge Side Guides to be certain that the product is straight as it is fed. To assist in the separation of the magnet tip-on promotional piece, we employ the use of side air injection nozzles. Each system will be mounted over your existing conveyor via a fully adjustable Straddle Mount Assembly with the feeder discharge parallel to the direction of travel on your conveyor. This height adjustment will accommodate books from ¼” to 4” thick. The tipping system will use Continuous Motion Accutipping to monitor the speed of the base conveyor with an encoder and adjust the timing and speed of the feeder to be certain that the tip-on is properly applied as the speed of the conveyor changes. The feeder will be signaled to feed by a Tipping Photo Optic Start Sensor and our feeder will interface with the gluing machine to disable the glue machine if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. Our very user friendly interface software eliminates the need to use the traditional hot melt application control module as well as simplifies and reduces the application set-up time and system operation. We are willing to waive the installation fee for an order placed on or before April 4, 2008 provided that it can be scheduled the same week as an existing visit to your area. Options available: Each MFT 250 IP Friction feeder can be equipped with an optional APL 2000 250 Automatic Product Loader positioned at 90 degrees in respect to the feeder over the feeder control pad for increased in feed magazine capacity. A Remote Keypad Assembly can be used to allow the operator to control each feeder system if 2 MFT tipping systems are purchased for a one line, 2 tip-on operation. The optional Hot Melt Glue system to apply glue to the phone books as they travel down your conveyor can be eliminated from our proposal should one of your locations own one available for the application in discussion. Start up assistance at your location can be purchased, plus travel and living expenses that are billed at actual cost. Additional hours are available at our standard rates. We recommend that the technician set up the equipment at your facility and train your personnel on proper operation, adjustments and maintenance. Equipment not manufactured by Multifeeder is quoted on the basis of proposals from the vendor. Price changes from the vendor will be adjusted at the time of your order. Technical support will be scheduled after a signed purchase order has been received by Multifeeder Technology. Please allow enough time for your purchase order to be received before scheduling service support.
