Project Scope: Sequence of Operation: The proposed system consists of an MFT 350 ED Friction Feeder system with 200mm extended discharge configured with Continuous Motion Accutipping with encoder to feed various products up to 12” wide onto a Moll folder gluer machine at a rate of up to 150 per minute. The Moll machine will feed a base sheet, and the MFT 350 ED Friction Feeder will be signaled by a Photo Optic Start Sensor to feed a product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine. Options Available: Optional Continuous Motion Accutipping consists of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes the computer timing compensation package varies the timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This feature also allows the operator to place two inserts one after another on a base card. The MFT 350 Friction feeder can also be equipped with a SD (32mm or 1.25” long discharge), XED (375mm or 15”long discharge), XLD (600mm or 24” long discharge), or an SLD (900mm or 36” long discharge). The feeder can also be equipped with left and right discharge side guides to ensure that the product is straight as it is fed. An optional Bar Code Verification System can be used to verify the bar code of the products as they are fed. The feeder will require a good read received back for each product fed and if a no read or a bad read occurs the feeder will be signaled to stop. The feeder can also be configured with a Heavy Duty Rear Support Assembly to support the long products as they are fed. An Electronic Interface Box can be used to signal the folder gluer machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. Options include a Low Product Sensor Assembly, a spare parts kit, and standard feeder installation.
