Project Scope: The proposed system consists of an MFT 350 IP XED Industrial Performance “IP” Series Friction Feeder with 375mm extended discharge to feed various products including signatures up to 12” wide onto a Moll folder gluer machine at a rate of up to 150 per minute with a tolerance of up to +/- 1/16”. This feeder is mounted onto an HDSR 1000-350 Stand on Rollers and is configured with an APL 2000-350 Automatic Product Loader (6.6ft long) positioned at 90 degrees over the electrical side of the feeder for increased in feed magazine capacity. A Remote Keypad Assembly will be used to allow the operator to change variables on the feeder. The Moll machine will feed a base sheet, and the MFT 350 IP XED Friction Feeder will be signaled by a Photo Optic Start Sensor to feed a product into the pinch point of a top belt assembly on the Moll machine. Also the feeder will be equipped with a Heavy Duty Rear Support Assembly to support the long products and Left and Right Discharge Side guides to ensure that the products are straight as they are fed. An Electronic Interface box will be used to signal the Moll machine to stop if the feeder runs empty or has a fault. The MFT 350 IP XED will be equipped with Continuous Accutipping and an encoder wheel assembly to match the changes in the line speed. Continuous Motion Accutipping consists of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes the computer timing compensation package varies the timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This feature also allows the operator to place two inserts one after another on a base card. Ship into Ev's Territory
