Project Scope: The proposed system consists of an MFT 250 IP XLD Friction Feeder, to bar code verify and feed a folded insert vertically into your case packaging machine at a rate of up to 40 per minute. The MFT 250 IP XLD feeder system will be signaled to feed using a Standard Interface Cable Assembly and will be equipped with Left and Right Discharge Side Guides to be certain that the products are straight as they are fed. A Bar Code Verification System will be used to code verify the product as they are fed. The feeder will signal the bar code reader to scan the product and will require a positive good read to feed a product into the case packing machine. If a no read or a bad read occurs the feeder will reject the no read or bad read into a lock box. The feeder will be equipped with an I/O board and can provide signals to the Schneider machine including No Read, Bad Read, Bar Code Reader Off, Fault, Low Product Detected, and Feeder Cycle Complete. The feeder will be equipped with a flexible segmented discharge to allow the angle of the discharge to be adjusted to feed vertically into the case. To accommodate your e-stop pressed guard door open, a closed contact can be connected to the Multifeeder Technology interlock connector. If this closed contact is open power removed from the motor drive circuit and only the control logic is powered up. For a system start stop the feeder will only feed a product if instructed to do so. It will complete a cycle and finish its cycle even if the Schneider machine stop is pressed. The feeder can be set up with three different programs to accommodate feeding different count of the two different products. The feeder will be equipped with an Input card with programmable outputs. The feeder can provide a fault signal that the feeder has run empty or had a fault. If five (user selectable) or more leaflets are rejected in a row the feeder system will declare a fault and will provide a fault signal to the Schneider machine. The Schneider machine can connect to the cycle complete signal that will advise the Schneider machine that the Multifeeder unit is powered on and in a ready condition.
Notes: MFT 250 IP ED with 250 Dual discharge FXED drive and reject lock box to bar Code verify and feed a folded insert vertically into your case packaging machine at a rate of up to 20 per minute. Teach button for bar code reader will be positioned near the height adjustment knobs on the feeder. We will create print for customer sign of estimated on first week of May and estimated lead time is 8-10 weeks after sign off. Customer approved drawing on May 30, 2007
