Project Scope: a system to feed a base sheet onto a vacuum conveyer, apply glue to the sheet, adhere a card to the base sheet with an accuracy of up to +/- 1/32”, and fold the sheet up to two times at a rate of up to 300 per minute. The system can also apply liquid pouches to base sheets with an accuracy of up to +/- 1/16”. The system consists of an MFT 550 Friction Feeder mounted onto a HDSR 1000-550 Bolt Stand on Rollers to feed products up to 20 inches wide onto an HSVC 2000mm long vacuum conveyor at a rate of up to 125 meters per minute (410 fpm). The MFT 550 Friction Feeder will feed base cards up to 20” wide and a glue machine shall apply glue to the base sheet. An MFT 350 IP XED Friction Feeder will be mounted onto an adjustable straddle mount assembly and will tip a card onto the base sheet. This feeder will be equipped with Continuous Motion Accutipping which will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to be certain the card is positioned correctly regardless of the speed of the base machine.
