Project Scope: An MFT 550 iP XED Friction Feeder system to feed and code verify paperboard backer cards up to 20” wide. The MFT 550 iP XED Friction Feeder will be mounted onto an HDSR 1000-550 Stand on Rollers and will signal the bar code reader system to read and present the backer cards under the reader. The verified cards will be fed directly onto a SC 2000-550 Shingling Conveyor (approximately 6ft long). There will be a small gap between the end of the feeder and the shingling conveyor to allow for an Air Knife Reject System. If a No Read or a Bad Read occurs the feeder will activate an air knife to divert the no read or bad read card down between the end of the feed and the shingling conveyor into a customer supplied box. The completed products will be counted and a kicker will be used to tab the completed products. The operator can enter a count for the kicking device to tab the completed products (Example tab every 100 completed products). The feeder system can also be set to feed a pre selected quantity to shingle and count the finished product for hand packaging.
