What Arrived: Machine will not boot up. Customer bought new Computer Board and Software Card but still not boot. Requested they return the Motherboard, Power Supply, New and Old Computer Boards and Software Chips. (Machine Serial Number:0324-06007)
Description of Problem: MFT 550 IP ED Serial Number 0324-06007 (5) 30mm R SE Feed Belts 1199900. W/ Vac Chambers for some reason. B C B C B (5) 30mm SW 1097300 old 550 with 20mm shafts (10) 20mm ED Elastic Discharge Belts 1177300 (2) 100mm wide Rear Support Curves (1) E/R Pair (1) interlock plug NO Elephant Ears, or cross rods for Height Adjustments
Work Done: Found it was software card I sent. However LCD is failed too. Plan to tell them our software version on the net ork for this old machine, was determined to be corrupted, and that is why the new chip did not work, and quote for LCD, MB upgrade, deducting for new chip cost, and preface this quote is just to get machine to a point where we can fully test, and could be more. Will need to complete mechanical evaluation first. 3/31/25 DTK Completed Mechanical evaluation. Also needs U-Joints. Completed repair estimate, and emailed to the customer. Software cards where mislabeled. They VER is 4.0.9 F, and both work! Will use one on this RMA, instead of Motherboard upgrades. New Computer board 7031400 SN 2c58c6, found to boot intermittently. Will need to do a 7031400 no charge on this RMA 0554777 to make up for that. Both original Computer Boards are bad. So Luis had one machine with only one line of LCD working. Two bad computer boards, ordered two computer boards, and one was intermittent, then ordered another Chip that was corrupted, so it makes sense why he could not figure this one out. Needed to get a new keypad, as this LCD did not have slots in the back. Replaced LCD. Passed all diagnostics, including APL / ADT test. Pulled cover and u-joints. Needs these added as well as hardware check before burn in, requote. 4/2/25 DTK Checked hardware, installed U-Joints and Cover. Revised Repair Quote. Received PO 4/3/25 DTK Passed Burn In and diagnostics. Completed, but customer may want to wait to ship with other Feeder on RMA 0554777 4/4/25 DTK Customer choose to wait to ship with Feeder on RMA# 0554777. Shipping under SO# 047012 Updated Assigned Serial Numbers 4/10/25 DTK
Repair Quotation Notes: Completed By: LCD has failed. Some lines unable to show characters. One of the two new Computer Boards 7031400 Moore recently purchased, had intermittent boot up issues. We will deduct that selling price for this board, on the other Feeder in for repair on RMA 0554777. Both of the original Software Cards do function, making Motherboard Upgrades on Repair Quote 0554775-0 unnecessary, and only add risk, so this REV 1 quote was created. . Found reason new Chip recently purchased, did not work, is MFT's file on the network is corrupted. To compensate for this we are crediting the price of the new Chip on this repair. Shield for Right Side Drive Assyembly, one of the Fan Filters, and the Universal Double Joints are missing.
