What Arrived: (Machine Serial Number:0708-07266) Product sensor reading 0 on all drives. Tried new 7006600 product sensor without change. Original product sensor had multiple wear-thru spots to wiring. Had tried 7007600 replacement sensor at one point in diagnosis, which has a smaller current limiting resistor than the 7006600
Description of Problem: MFT350 S/N 0708-07266 ver 3.1.27A Includes: Pair of short acute angle magazine side guides with bottom tails cut off before the stripper wheel. 2 30mm rough SE feedbelts. 2-30mm purple SW 2 product support rods 6 stretchy purple XED discharge belts on roller XED discharge 1- 7007600 New Product sensor recently sent to Customer but did not cure problem. 1 25mm aluminum rear product support curve 1- mPower Cord Flexible air jet strapped to crossbar above discharge Light tower. Relay mounted in left cabinet above motor pully providing isolated contact of Red Light to 3 pin connector mounted through rear id label
Work Done: Notice puncture through keypad window but not damaging display.obscures view in about a 1/4 inch circle. Power up- Both fans work Motor jogs. Tach reads 20.24 when jogging 20mpm. Little squeak coming from feedbelt area. Yellow light no light in status light diagnostic. External relay clicks on red (good) Emitter transmitting light visible with cellphone . Pointing downward. Product Sensor Diagnostic read all 0. Connected product sensor through new 7048700 front conector board from stock, Product Sensor diagnostic still read all 0. Passes encoder, rear conn sensor tests, wiggles J1 output tests correctly, passes keyboard test. motor encoder test. Firees I/O board output LEDs 3 thru 8. Need investigate 1 and 2 . Still need to test I/O inputs and run APL Test. DEK 30 Jan 25 Measured input resistance of U5 to gnd at 4.6 ohms which is dramatically lower than the 47 Kohm pulldown resistor and indicative of blown input. Removed Interface bd and requested Penny replace U5 ADC 6092500 . DEK 3 Feb 25 Remounted PC in system, Powered up, ran normally, Passed all diagnostics including APL test. Was sitting idling without any contact, and screen went blank. Would not work after cooldown and reboot. spent couple hours debugging, removed interface board again and discovered cold solder bead lightly wedged against upper right pins of IC__. Removed bead, reinstalled card. Passed all diagnostics again. Initiated burn-in. 11 Feb 25 DEK Ran Burn-in 5.5 hours before received PO. Performed all identified part replacements, cleaning as I progressed. Reinitiated Burn-in on 24 hr timer to expire 7:15 pm Friday eve. Feb 14. Feeder passed all tests. 17 feb 25 DEK Advised Customer machine will likely be ready Mon Feb 17 by noon. DEK 13 Feb 25 Created SO 046702 , moved to shipping and advised Customer feeder ready for pickup.
Repair Quotation Notes: Completed By: Replace Receiver Chip for Product sensing on the Interface PCB. Replace broken inlet cooling air filter. Replace 1 damaged feedbelt drive pulley whose hub was ground halfway thru due to interference with shaft collar. Replace burned-out status light bulb Replace aged and worn Feedbelts. OPTIONAL ADDITIONAL ITEMS:. Keypad screen is damaged but display is OK. Keypad functions OK. Optional replacement of Keypad -additional USD 958.00 DIscharge belts Replace marred stripper wheels. Discharge belts appear to have some life left.. Optional replacement of 6 Discharge belts - additional USD 672.00.
