What Arrived: Box was not able to run a Motor. They found damage to the Motor Cable, and repaired it. Still could not run the Motor. Then they replaced the Motor, it ran Motor but very unevenly. Somehow they locked the Motherboard. Serial Number label was pulled off. Cannot identify box by serial numbers on circuit boards. Either it was not sold to them originally, or we did not document this info. Nicole G found we can find the Serial Number in the error log of the card, by connecting it to a PC. Told customer they need to return for identification and repair, and advised them to label any other MFT equipment with the serial number, and how they can find it in Menu 5 Identification . (Machine Serial Number:unknown at this time)
Description of Problem: MB 2 Control Box Cicuit board in box, do not match serial number tag in box Motherboard SN 5495 Computer Board SN TS 140665 I/O SN 0198 Power Supply SN EA851937 Repair of MB Control Box Serial Number 1432-13473 Reference RMA number 0554687
Work Done: Box is really messy, cleaned some of the glue, and rest of serial number label off. Could not read serial number any way. Looked over I/O Board, made sure all input an output connectors where labeled, and labeled the ones that where not. SW 1 ALL C SW 2 1-7 C 8 O (SW2.8 NOT USED ANYWAYS( SW 4 ALL C SW 5 ALL C SW 6 1,3,5,7 O SW 6 2,4,6,8 C SW 7 BOTH C Looked at Error file and found box has SN 1432-13473 put on it originally in OCT 2014 customer did buy this MB Control Box in 2014, and we did have a software setting back up on file, in Data Files. But then saw in June of 2018 SN was changed to SN 0731-02637 that was sold to Schneider Packaging on WO 2007046, and board SN on tag match this Schneider machine. However I/O Board was wired just like Gluer Control Box for Cold Lam 1 and 2 for Linxens. So Linxens must have acquired this box, and put in electronics from SN SN 1432-13473, then had it lock and used SN on label of 0731-02637. Decided just to call this box SN 1432-13473. Manually Unlocked for the 14 SN. Cleared Lease, and reenabled Gluer Wizard, Serial Control, and Gluer Device. Checked settings and they where different from the back up file, but reasonable. So i made a back up file of customer settings on file 2, and left originals on 1 and 11, in case they need to recall them. Missing Interlock Plug, pulled one from stock. Passe tests, except I/O Wiring has splices where they must have been testing, this should all get replaced, as it did short out the 24v once, and cause it to power cycle. And of course the Motor would not run. Found short on Power X from P to W. Will need to check board for burnt spots and power supplies to Power X before changing Power X. 8/6/24 DTK No burnt spots, and all power supplies to Power X present. Replaced Power X, and motherboard would drive a motor. Wouldn't jog with customer software card, will need to talk to Greg about how I can see the Motor move with customer Gluer Control Software Card. Put in 24 hour burn in on test fixture with factory software card. Also past all diagnostics on test fixture. Completed repair quote, and emailed to the customer. 8/8/24 DTK Motherboard passed 22 some hours burn in on test fixture. Finished work to box, installed Motherboard ASSY, w/ customer software. Ran Diagnostics. Did I/o Board test, and serial control test. Greg was not here, but got the motor to run with customer software, with Glue Head to Service Position I/O input, after pressing Cycle Start. Made calender reminder to update assigned serial numbers, after my vacation. This is ready to ship when we get the PO, it is on Dales Work Bench currently. 8/9/24 DTK Updated Assigned Serial Numbers. Received PO, got box and paper work to shipping late in afternoon. SO# 045752 045752 8/19/24 DTK
Repair Quotation Notes: Completed By: Power-X on Motherboard Failed causing it to be unable to spin a Motor. Serial Number missing. Determined Serial Number as 1432-13473 I/O Board Interconnect Cables have insulation pulled back, and they can short out to each other. Recommend replacing them. One Fan in box is burnt out, and cannot spin. Both Fan Filters are missing.
