What Arrived: Returning Old ADT from Redfield / Xpedx line. Luis thinks it is a bad rectifier board, but maybe AMP Board is also an issue. (Machine Serial Number:0326-02203)
Description of Problem: ADT 550 Serial Number 0326-02203 (3) Knock Down Skies (one extra bracket for one) (6) Product Rods (1) Pair Guides (1) Lid
Work Done: Mechanisms are really hard to move. Looks to be mostly in super nut play side to side binding. Does turn ok when rotating pulley. More investigation needed. Safety Switch has been disabled. Rectifier has just been cut out, lots of rewiring needed. Over Current Resistor of Rectifier board may not be to spec. FETs on Rectifier Board are shorted. High Voltage input to AMP Board does not look shorted. No burn spots on Rectifier, replaced FETs on Rectifier Board. 7/9/24 DTK Rectifier board passed tests. Installed using some Wire Lever Nuts for Ground wire of Rectifier Board, and input to Transformer. Machine passed all electrical tests, aside from failed fan in electrical cabinet. Completed repair quote and emailed to the customer. 7/31/24 DTK Completed repairs and testing. Ready to send to shipping, when PO received. 8/2/24 DTK No Po yet, but sent to Shipping to make room in RMA room. Beat information out of Luis, that he did get the quote, and good ole Johnny Green has the quote. 8/9/24 DTK Updated Assigned serial numbers. Shipping under SO# 045776 8/22/24 DTK
Repair Quotation Notes: Completed By: FETs on Rectifier Board failed causing overcurrent Fuse to blow. Over current resistor for Rectifier board was missing. AC Input Fuse was blown Fan for Electrical Area has failed. Static Brush is worn. Mechanisms are worn but have some life left in them. Discussed with Luis Cisneros, and he said he can take care of that when the time comes.
