What Arrived: Came in with no RMA# - Nathan called to report issue. Powered up but buttons would not function. Stole some gears from it, to repair another unit. (Machine Serial Number:0733-06470) Moved south end of machine shop.u
Description of Problem: MFT 250IP 150 Serial Number 0733-06470 (1) 30mm ECG SDV Feed Belt (1) 30mm SW 1097300 (4) XLD Discharge Belts the VAC Conveyer type of Hard Carcass (1) L-CR80 Rear Support (1) Stack Light (cable cutt) (1) Interlock Plug (1) E/R Pair (1) Custom ADJ Mount
Work Done: Sent internal email to figure out who contact is. No one at MFT was informed of this shipment. Emailed serval individuals at customer, and got contact. 9/23/20 DTK Shims for Feed Belts are not installed properly one is thinner on the other side, and just one shim each side, belt way too tight. 10/6/20 Computer Board failed causing no boot up. Signal light needs re-wiring, and APL Connector Plug needs replacing. Installed new proper Rubber Feet. Motor had reached 180F Before. Motor Timing Belt was also too tight. Loossed Feed Belt and Motor Timing Belt. Put into 24 hour burn in and observed for proper operation. 10/15/20 DTK Machine passed a 24 hour burn in. Prepared repair quote and emailed to the customer. 10/16/20 DTK Completed work to the machine, and put into 24 hour burn in and observed for proper operation. 11/4/20 DTK During Burn in one of the Discharge Belts broke. I looked over my set up and do not see anything that could have been rubbing on the belts. I do not believe that my test caused this belt to break. There must have been a small fracture in the belt, that was not caught on first evaluation, and then got worse. Revised Repair Quote and emailed customer. Copy of this email is attached to this RMA. Received revised PO. Replaced Discharge Belts. Found Product Sensor Frayed, replaced Product Sensor at no charge. Put into burn in and observed for proper operation. 11/5/20 DTK Machine passed burn in, and diagnostics. Needed to set Gear Box to 257/200 to get to tack out right. My tacs readings matched productions tac. Updated Assigned Serial Numbers Shipping under SO# 037376 11/6/20 DTK
Repair Quotation Notes: Completed By: Computer Board has failed causing machine to be unable to boot up. Signal light has the connector cut off, and cable is gauged, will need to re-wire signal light. One of the Cooling Fans for the Electrical enclosure has blades broken off. The 8 Pin Connector for J2 APL Port is broken, causing an Open in Feeder Ready Signal to APL, so APL cannot run with its sensor. Feed Belt is worn and has been over screeched, by incorrect shims being installed. Motor Timing Belt was also found to be too tight, this is likely what caused Motor to reached 180 Degrees F on the outside, although motor appears to function normally. Spur Gear Teeth are worn, recommend replacing the nylon teeth portion, for a better mesh. Cover for Bearing Drive Assembly in Electrical side has piece broken off. Fan Filters for Electrical Enclosure are worn or missing. Cabinet Latches are stripping out. Found non OEM Rubber Mounts on bottom of machine. Replaced with OEM versions that have M8 threads to mount to, looks like you should be able to mount the Multifeeder to your custom mount with these. REV 1 - A Discharge Belt or Conveyer Bed Belt broke in finial testing. I looked over my set up and do not see anything that could have been rubbing on the belts. I do not believe that my test caused this belt to break. There must have been a small fracture in the belt, that was not caught on first evaluation, and then got worse. I Understand the unfortunate timing of this issue, and therefore I am willing to waive labor charges to replace these. As well as extend the quantity discount on belts to repair. Quantity discount is typically only for spare parts orders.
