What Arrived: Returning MFT 350IP for repair. Short Circuit on board. (Machine Serial Number:unknown at this time)
Description of Problem: MFT 350 IP DCC ED Serial Number 1402-08926 (2) 30mm SE R Feed Belt (3) 30mm Stripper Wheels (5) 20mm Elastic Discharge Belts (1) 25mm Rear Support curve (1) Set Discharge Supports (2) H-Blocks mounted to rear feet (2) Discharge Side Guide Brackets (no guides) (1) Start Sensor 7013100 with Mounting Bracket (1) Signal Light (1) Interlock Plug (1) E/R Pair
Work Done: No shims for Feed Belts. Spanning Shaft tightened all the way up. Found machine would not boot up. Failed Computer Board. Replaced with Serial Number 2a6980. Then found Product Sensor Pair always reading 255s on all channels even with front ribbon cable disconnected from Motherboard. 10/11/18 DTK After pulling Motherboard, and trouble shooting, found a piece of Debris on Xilinx's that caused the Product Sensor Pair false reading. Completed evaluation. Put in 24 hour unloaded burn in. Prepared repair quote and emailed to the customer. 10/16/18 DTK Removed and cleaned discharge and shafts 11/5/18 DEK Polished shafts, replaced pulleys and feedbelts per quotation11/6/18 DEK Squared machine and replaced remaining components per quotation11/7/18 DEK Replaced cabinet latches. Ran initial tests .Initiated 24 hr Burn-in cycle 11/7/18DEK Passed post burn-in checkout test. Updated Computer S/N in Assigned S/N database 11/8/18 DEK Created SO 032901 and submitted machine and it's shipping pallet to Shipping 11/9/18 DEK
Repair Quotation Notes: Completed By: Computer board failed causing the machine to be unable to boot up. Machine was always believing no product was under the sensor, found issue to be a piece of debris on a fine pitch processor chip on the Motherboard, shorting out the Product Sensor Signal. One of the Bulbs is burnt out in the Signal Light. Foam Filter for electrical enclosure is in need of replacing. Shims to tention Feed Belts were not installed, and shaft was pulled all the way back. Luckily the only thing that was damaged was the Feed Belts. Over tensioning of the Feed Belts, can cause Center Piece, and End Piece Shaft to brake. Stripper Wheels, and Discharge Belts are worn. Pulleys have gauges on them. Cabinet Latches are stripping out. B&R Moll's Discount has been applied to this quote. Discount not applicable to labor.
