What Arrived: Customer sending in motherboard assembly giving major product jam error. (Machine Serial Number:0912-08180)
Description of Problem: (1) Motherboard ASSY Part Number 8220700 Serial Number 1174 (MB SN 5165, CB SN TS131352, PS SN EA85197294) (1) Motor W/ Plug 800W 250/350 DCC Part Number 7104800
Work Done: Motherboard, and Motor passed all initial testing. Next steps are burn in testing, and test of Rear Connector Board. 11/10/17 DK Board passed rear connector board tests. Found after about 10 to 30 minutes of burn in, motherboard will fault into Major Product Jam, with customers motor. 11/14/17 DK Saw D27 of Motherboard was off, when fault occurred. 11/15/17 DK Believe U47 AC Detect Chip failed on the Motherboard. Vicki to replace. 11/17/17 After U47 was replaced, saw that R9 for pull up for AC Detect was shorted. Vicki replaced, and board could pass an hour burn in, with heat being applied to U47. Updated software to 4.2.37, and updated assigned serial numbers. Passed all diagnostics. Backed up software settings. Re-assembled, and put into burn in (w/ customers motor) and observed for proper operation. After about 3 hours of burn in, prepared repair quote and emailed to the customer. 11/20/17 DK Motherboard ASSY and Motor passed a 24 hour burn in and diagnostics. Replaced motor pulley.11/21/17 DK Shipping under SO# 030561 11/22/17 DK
Repair Quotation Notes: Completed By: An Opto-coupler, and Resistor failed on the Motherboard, causing the machine to be intermittently unable to run a motor. One Cooling Fan has broken blades. There is a crack near the set screw of the Motor Pulley, causing the pulley to not spin true.
