What Arrived: Returning MFT 350 V for evaluation / repair. Screen fades out and goes blank it comes back after powering cycling power (Machine Serial Number:1419-09020)
Description of Problem: (1) MFT 350V XED SN: 1419-09020 (3) 30mm rough natural feed belts (3) 30mm stripper wheels (6) 20mm discharge belts (1) ER pair (2) discharge support brackets (2) Spare product sensor rods (2) Spare body cross rods (2) Discharge sliding block assemblies
Work Done: Checked in and inspected machine. Performed all standard RMA IO tests and everything checked out. Left powered on to replicate issue and noticed after some time the screen would fade to almost blank. Hooked up new screen, adjusted brightness pot and put into 24 hour burn-in. 10/19/2017 MM After assembly it was discovered that the feed belt shaft has a wobble, found bearing housings were bad. Emailed revised quote. 10/24/2017 MM Got revised PO performed all repairs to machine and put into 24 hour burn-in. 10/26/2017 MM Machine passed 24 hour burn-in performed final checkout and machine is ready to ship. 10/30/2017 MM Under SO 030 Repair and refurbishment of MFT 350V XED SN: 1419-09020 under RMA 0553761
Repair Quotation Notes: Completed By: LCD display was fading out, LCD needs to be replaced. Geed belts are worn almost smooth, these need to be replaced. Stripper wheels are worn and gouged and need to be replaced. Discharge belts are worn smooth and stretched and need to be replaced. After assembly it was found there were issues with the left side bearing housing feed belts shaft bearing and shaft and issues with the right side bearing housings stripper wheel and upper discharge shaft bearings. Both bearing housings will need to be rebuilt. It was also found that the feed belt shaft was twisted and needs to be replaced.
