Work Done: Found that U7 the AtoD converter in the detector circuit had shorted causing the product sensor circuit not to function. Chong replaced. Motherboard passed functionality test in feeder. Prepared repair quote including some mechincal repairs recomended. Feeder left case has cracked open a sandwich piece will be needed to mend it. Send quote to customer via email. 9/10/09 DK Recieved PO 9/15/09 DK Compleated work on feeder. 9/18/09 Feeder passed burn in, and check out. 9/23/09 Shipping via UPS gnd. 9/23/09
Repair Quotation Notes: Completed By: Found that an Analog to digital converter in the product detection circuit had failed causing the product sensor not to function. Replaced component and feeder functions electrically. The two discharge exit sliding assemblies have broken were the mounting holes are (this can happen when discharge belt tension is not removed before unbolting the upper discharge assembly. There is a crack on the mechanical side case in the lower edge in the rear. We will make a sandwich piece mounted on the inside and bolt together to mend the crack. The spur gears do not stay on shafts securely recommend replacing them with ones with aluminum inserts. Feed belts have been over stretched as shims were not installed with them. This lead to the idler pulley bearings warring out faster then expected. Found an abrasion on one of the discharge belts this will cause the belt to snap soon, recommend replacing as set so all have even ware. Mechanical side timing belt is in need of replacing. The feeder has vertical slop in stripper wheel shaft, and upper discharge shaft. The right side of the discharge shaft has enough slop to bounce as feeder is running; replacing all the sleeve bearings will eliminate this excess slop. Repair quote does not reflect final charges for service of this unit. Other problems either mechanical or electrical may arise during the RMA process. This quote does not reflect shipping charges, shipping material or box. All items will be shipped via UPS ground unless otherwise specified on purchase order. * A hard copy purchase order that agrees to repair quote charges is required before work can continue.
