What Arrived: Motor encoder malfunctioning (Machine Serial Number:0033-01651) Customer sent feeder back with same parts. Customer said feeder was making lound noises, and it would go into major product jam. 1/15/08 Feeder sounds normal and motor settings are correct on all programs. DK 1/16/08
Description of Problem: 450 int ed feeder SN 033-01651 (4) White 30mm feed belts (4) Plum 30mm stripper wheels (8) 20mm disscharge belts (4) Product rods (1) product sensor (1) stack light (1) Power cord static bars Bag of componets for Mechanical side.
Work Done: Checked feeder in 12/19/07 .25 hours DK Analyzed feeder, and prepared repair quote. 12/19/07 1 hour DK Disassembled feeder to make repairs. 12/26/07 1.25 hours DK The pulleys on one shaft were stuck to the shaft. This shaft and pulleys will need replacing. Updated repair quote. 12/26/07 .25 hours DK Cleaned shafts on lathe. 12/26/07 .5 hours DK Pushed out bearings for rebuild. 12/26/07 .5 hours DK After determining the proper plate to use for motor, I mounted the motor to the feeder. 12/26/07 1 hour DK Pulled parts for bearing rebuild. 12/27/07 .25 hours DK Completed bearing rebuild. 12/27/07 .75 hours DK Wired motor. 12/31/07 2 hours DK Reassembled feeder with parts listed on repair quote. 12/31/07 4 hours DK Put feeder in burn in, and observed for proper operation 1/2/08 .5 hours DK Checked feeder out 1/3/08 .75 hours Put feeder in burn in, and observed for proper operation. 1/4/08 .5 hours DK Overnight a pulley on the feed belts slide over, due to the plastic collars were not tight enough or that they were spaced apart to much. This caused another feed pulley to be moved, which damaged both feed belts. The drive shaft was nicked up so bad from the set screws rubbing on it that it had to be replaced. Two feed belts, and all the setscrews were replaced, along with the drive shaft. 1/4/08 .75 hours DK Put feeder in burn in and observed for proper operation. 1/4/08 .5 hours DK Performed check out on feeder. 1/7/08 1 hour DK Feeder passed 2 12 hour burn ins, and 2 check outs. Feeder ready to ship 1/7/08 DK Found that product seneor mounting holes were striped out, and replaced product sensor with one from spare parts. 1/25/08 .75 hours DK The only abnormal noise came from the spacers on discharge roller. 1/24/08 DK Ran product for half hour without any faluts. 1/24/08 DK This was a warranty repair. 1/24/08 DK Feeder ready to ship UPS ground. 1/24/08 DK
