Project Scope: The proposed system consists of four Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 Industrial Performance “IP” Series XLD Friction Feeder systems with 600mm long Extended Discharge (CE Compliant) to feed leaflets up to 200mm (7.87") wide to be bar code verified by a customer supplied and integrated bar code reader system at a rate of up to 150 per minute. The MFT 250 IP Friction feeder will gently separate the folded leafets and present them onto the feeder discharge one at a time. Left and Right Discharge Side Guides will be used to guide the product on the discharge to be certain that the products are straight as they are fed. Each feeder can be signaled to feed by an optional Tipping Photo Optic Start Sensor. The customer supplied and integrated bar code reader system will provide a closed contact to the feeder via the Low Product Sensor connector to signal the feeder to stop if a no read or a bad read occurs. This proposal is contingent upon a successful test of customer-supplied samples.
