Project Scope: The proposed system consists of an MFT 550 150 Industrial Performance “IP” XLD Friction Feeder with 600mm long 150mm wide discharge to feed CDs onto a Bobst Domino 72 Folder Gluer machine at a rate of up to 300 per minute with a tolerance of +/-1.5 mm. The Bobst Machine will feed a base carton and the MFT 550 150 IP XLD Friction Feeder will be signaled to feed an folded sheet into the pinch point of a Bobst top belt assembly by a Tipping Photo Optic Start Sensor Assembly. Left and Right Discharge Side guides will be used to be certain that the products are straight as they are fed. The customer is responsible for mounting the feeder over the Bobst machine. A 600mm long and 550mm wide discharge will be included as a change part to allow the feeder to feed products up to 500mm (19.68”) wide. The feeder will be equipped with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. As the speed of the base machine changes the computer timing compensation package varies the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This feature also allows the operator to place two or more inserts one after another on a base card. We will waive the expedite fee for two week delivery for an order placed on or before October 9th, 2009.
