Project Scope: The proposed system consists of an MFT 350 ip XLD Friction Feeder system to feed cards and other products up to 12” wide onto your Bobst Fuego folder gluer machine at a rate of up to 400 per minute. The MFT 350 ip XLD Friction Feeder system will be equipped with a 600 mm long extended discharge to be straddle mounted over your folder gluer. The folder gluer will feed a base product and the MFT Friction Feeder will be signaled by a Photo Optic Start Sensor feed a product into the pinch point of an upper belt assembly of the folder gluer to assure proper placement of the product. The feeder will be mounted onto an MFT Adjustable Mounting frame to allow the position of the feeder to be adjusted in the x, y, and z directions. The feeder will be equipped with MFT Continuous Accutipping with an encoder mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes the computer timing compensation package varies the timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine.
