Project Scope: Sequence of Operation: The revised proposed system consists of an MFT 250 ED Industrial Performance “IP” Series Friction feeder system to feed Hang Tags and other products up to 200mm wide onto spot glued credit cards as they travel on the in feed of a Profold phone card line at a rate of up to 450 per minute with a tolerance of up to +/- 1/16”. This proposal is contingent upon a successful test of a stack of customer-supplied samples. An existing feeder will feed the credit cards onto the in feed of the Profold line and a customer supplied and integrated glue machine shall apply glue to the cards. The MFT 250 Industrial Performance Friction feeder system will be signaled to feed by a customer supplied Photo Optic Start Sensor (Multifeeder will supply a J1 connector). Left and Right Discharge Side Guides with 200mm long shafts to hold the guides will be used to ensure that the product is straight as it is fed. The feeder will feed a Hang Tag into the pinch point of a customer supplied and integrated Pressure Roller Assembly to assure proper placement of the Hang tag onto the Spot glued surface of the card. The feeder will be equipped with Continuous Motion Accutipping consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor the speed of the base machine. As the speed of the base machine changes the timing and speed of the feeder is adjusted automatically to ensure that the inserts are placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. This feature also allows the operator to place two inserts one after another on a base card. The feeder will also be equipped with the latest version of software including the Card Line Software. As the speed of the base machine changes the card line software package varies the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the insert is placed accurately regardless of the speed of the base machine. The feeder can be controlled using commands given through the serial port. Options Available: An optional MFT 350 Industrial Performance Friction Feeder can feed items up to 300mm wide. The feeder can be mounted onto an optional Straddle Mount Assembly. An optional APL 2000-250 Automatic Product Loader can be used for increased in feed magazine capacity. The feeder can be equipped with a vacuum track assembly consisting of a feed belt with holes and a vacuum chamber to allow the feeder to better grip the product. An optional Remote Keypad Assembly can be used to allow the controls of the feeder to be located in the optimum position. Options include a Low Product Sensor Assembly, a spare parts kit, and standard feeder installation. As an option start up assistance can be purchases at your location, plus travel and living expenses that are billed at actual cost. Additional hours are available at our standard rates. We recommend that the technician set up the equipment at your facility and train your personnel on proper operation, adjustments and maintenance. Equipment not manufactured by Multifeeder is quoted on the basis of proposals from the vendor. Price changes from the vendor will be adjusted at the time of your order. This proposal reflects the use of Multifeeder Technology’s standard specifications. Any alteration to this proposal will be on a time and materials basis. Technical support will be scheduled after a signed purchase order has been received by Multifeeder Technology. Please allow enough time for your purchase order to be received before scheduling service support.
