Project Scope: Featuring: MFT 350 IP3 SS XED Stainless Steel Friction Feeder, feeding cardboard rectangles up to 50 per minute. The feeder separates your products from a supported, inclined stack and transfers them individually onto the discharge of the feeder. Products exit the discharge and are fed into the in-feed of your existing flighted conveyor (parallel to flow). Feeder Notes: -Signaling capability to feed a product into the flighted infeed of an Ulma Packaging Machine parallel to flow, with feeder status provided via a Standard Interface Cable Assembly (included as part of the wash down friction feeder). -Heavy-duty rear support assembly with rigidized support plate for robust support of the product stack during feeding. -No mounting hardware or stand is included in this proposal. MFT assumes customer will mount/install at their facility; if desired, a stand is available as an option. -A Low Product Detect Sensor Assembly with bracket is included to detect a low product condition and to signal a flashing yellow light when low -The MFT 350 IP3 XED Stainless Steel Wash Down Friction Feeder is CE Compliant Notes: -This proposal is "formal" having tested all products. -No URS, Specifications or FAT documents have been submitted with this proposal -Any URS, Specifications or FAT documents submitted during the quote or order phase will default to a requote -This proposal is the sole and governing document for this project -MFT will set-up and test one (1) product. If, for some unforeseen reason, additional parts/options are required for untested products, the customer is responsible for all associated costs. Additional set-ups are available as an option. -This proposal assumes that the customer will integrate, install and test the system at their facility -MFT is not responsible for pinch points created by the Integration of MFT supplied equipment and the Clients equipment (i.e.: feeders, labelers, conveyors, lugs, etc.). It is the sole responsibility of the client to address and add any additional guarding to meet local and federal OSHA requirements. -MFT will provide the customer a video for machine acceptance/shipment approval -Standard MFT components are being integrated to make a "system". This proposal does not include "system" guarding. Guarding should be discussed with your MFT Representative to assure the system as proposed meets your project's requirements. MFT can option guarding per your projects’ requirements. -Any information provided after the order is considered a change in "Scope". A "scope” change quote will be provided to accommodate any/all additions and all changes will be billable to the customer. -This proposal does not include MFT customer on-site training and/or installation assistance -No layout drawing is provided with this proposal.
Notes: Ulma Global Packaging WO 2023116 12/7: Hoping to ship tomorrow. 12/4 - Machines shipping separate. 11/30 - Updated Ship to address, awaiting response on shipping with other Ulma system. Done in Integration this afternoon. 11/16: Waiting from parts from passivation. Hopefully this week. 11/9: Should have parts out from passivation by early next week. 11/2: No change 10/27: No change 10/5: No change 9/21: Cable due mid December currently. 9/18: set ship date 12/14 (quote 10-14 weeks) -KSJ 9/14: Michelle reviewed and updated Work Order -KSJ 9/7: New ordering. Invoicing today.
Work Done: Time Spent Testing: 4 hours Demo Notes: Products are shown feeding at 50ppm in intermittent motion with feeding speed set to 75mpm. Feeder setup included an HD 425 support curve, (5) DSV feed belt tracks (no vacuum used), (5) P/N 1099300 stripper wheels, and 100% gearing. I do not believe the FDA stripper wheels are required; they were already installed. The 100% gearing was also already installed, but after using it for testing I do recommend it for the project. I believe it allowed me to run at higher stack height without cranking down on the stripper wheels, instead using the speed differential to assist separation. I was able to load everything they sent, which according to the box was 900 products. We may be able to load even more, but I suspect I was nearing the max of what we could load for that product. These products were not compatible with double detection, but aside from that they were very straightforward to run.
