Project Scope: The revised proposed system consists of a Multifeeder Technology MFT 350 V3 XLD Signature Series Friction Feeder system to present folded paper sheets onto an existing transport conveyor to be ink jet printed and folded at a rate of up to 250 per minute. The MFT 350 feeder will gently separate your products (up to 300mm or 11.81" wide) from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 600mm (23.64") long discharge of the feeder. A Vacuum Track assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travel over the chamber will be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed (house vacuum supply). A Heavy Duty Rear Support Assembly will be used to best support the stack from the back as they are fed. A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the rear support of the feeder to reduce friction between the products as they are fed and to assist with product flow. The MFT 350 V3 will feed the sheets onto your existing conveyor at a rate of 250 per minute with consistent repeat. This feeder is equipped with Multiple Product Detection (Double Detection). The feeder will be mounted onto a HDSR 1000-350 Heavy Duty Stand on Rollers for height adjustment and mobility. The feeder will be configured with Backer Repeat Controls consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the products are placed with consistent repeat regardless of the speed of the base machine. This proposal assumes that the customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the existing transport conveyor. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates.
