Project Scope: The proposed system consists of five Multifeeder Technology MFT 250 IP3 XED Industrial Performance Series Friction Feeder systems to present cardboard cards onto an existing transport conveyer with consistent repeat at a rate of 300 per minute. Each feeder will feed a different card (1-5). A customer supplied and integrated system controller will manage the feeders to create a sequence of (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 1, 2, etc.) each with a 100mm gap between the cards. Each MFT 250 IP3 XED Friction Feeder will gently separate your products (up to 200mm or 7.87" wide) from a vertical stack of the in feed hopper of the feeder and will transport them individually onto the 375mm (14.76") long discharge of the feeder. A Vacuum Track Assembly consisting of a vacuum chamber and a feed belt with holes that travels over the chamber will be used to allow the feeder to best grip the products as they are fed (house vacuum supply). A Pneumatic Shaker will be mounted onto the Index Rear Support Assembly of the feeder to assist with product flow. Each feeder will be signaled to start the feeding process and will provide back feeder status via a Standard Interface Cable Assembly. Each feeder will be equipped with Cardline software controls consisting of an encoder with wheel mounted on your base machine to monitor its speed. As the speed of the base machine changes, the computer timing compensation package will vary the speed and timing of the feeder to ensure that the leaflets are placed with consistent repeat regardless of the speed of the base machine. The controller can also communicate with each feeder via RS 232. This proposal assumes that the customer will mount, install, and integrate the feeder with the existing flighted transport conveyor. Multifeeder can provide mounting, installation, and integration services as an option at our standard rates.
